Grounded in Nature:
The natural world and its connection to wellbeing
"Nature can generate many positive emotions, such as calmness, joy, and creativity and facilitate concentration. Nature connectedness is also associated with lower levels of poor mental health, particularly lower depression and anxiety." Mental Health Foundation

We're looking for submissions of poetry, short written pieces (up to 1000 words), and photography on the theme of the 'connection to nature and mental health’.

There's increasing evidence that having a deeper connection to nature can improve our mental health.

So, let’s tell a powerful creative story about that connection, and inspire others to take action to protect our natural world. Interpret this theme in your own way—the sky's the limit.

All chosen submissions will feature in a specially curated book.

Please send up to three pieces. They must be finished and ready for print.

Deadline for submissions is the 1st August 2024.

As always, we'll have our reading glasses at the ready.
